Kimbro was an NL All-Star in 1917 for the Crimson Tide, he had 2 hits in the 6-2 NL victory. He was a key member of the 1917 SCL Champion Crimson Tide, hitting .333 while leading the team with 8 Hrs. Despite hitting just .190 in the Series, Kimbro led all players with 6 runs scored. His 2 out triple(his 2nd of the game) in the 9th inning of Game #1 set the table for the walk off win. He would score the winning run on an error by the Miners’ pitcher.
