          Alva “Rip” Williams was a member of the 1912 SCL Champion Wheaton Warbirds.

 

He went 4-4 with 2rbi, driving in the winning run with a 2-out triple in Game #2 of the 1914 NLCS  win vs the Baltimore Terrapins. He went on to play 4 games in the 1914 SCL World Series for the ArkLaTex Robins, hitting .313 with 5 hits in the 6 game loss to the Jersey City Skeeters.
