George Runnells Kahler went 6-4, 1.60, completing 8 of his 12 starts in his Rookie season with the Indians. His wildness proved his undoing averaging 4 walks per 9IP for his career. He led the AL in base on balls with 121 in 1912.

      Kahler was a member of the 1912 AL Pennant winning Virginia Rebels. He saved game #4 in the Wild Card matchup with the Shamokin Stogies, helping the Rebels reach the World Series. The Rebels lost to the Warbirds in 6 games. He pitched ineffectively in the SCL World Series, allowing 3 runs in 4 IP in his only appearance.
