      Gene Krapp helped lead the 1914 Terrapins to the NLCS vs the Robins. The Robins swept the Terrapins in 4 games. He took the loss in Game #3, allowing 6 runs in 7 IP.

        His 2.21 ERA was 6th in the league. His 6.1 hits per 9 IP was the best in the league, while his 136 walks also led the league.

      On 9/4/1914 he tossed a no-hitter vs the Tornados, winning 4-0.

Gene Krapp’s SABR bio has an anecdote regarding baseball writer Charley Dryden. He supposedly wrote the following game account: “ Krapp squeezed his way out of a tight hole when, with the bases loaded, he induced Rollie Zeider to line to Bill Wambsganss for an inning-ending double play.”
