Ed Morris won 17 games for the AL Pennant winning Georgia Pines in 1928. His 17 wins were 4th in the AL, and his 103 strikeouts were good for 6th. He went 2-0 in that season’s playoffs, but lost 2 games in the World Series vs the Storm.

   Ed Morris won 19 games for the last place 1928 Red Sox. He was named the RHP on The Sporting News Rookie All-Star team. On 2/29/1932 while attending a Leap Day party in Florida, Morris was stabbed during an altercation. He died 3 days later from his wounds. He was 32 years old.
