               Charles “Boss” Schmidt played 6 seasons in MLB all with the Detroit Tigers. He appeared in 3 straight World Series (1907, 08, 09) all losses.  The opposing teams over 17 World Series games stole 49 bases, primarily with Schmidt behind the plate.
