William Edward “Wild Bill” Donovan was an SCL All-Star in 1910 for the Warriors. He did not pitch in the NL 2-0 victory. In 1918 he appeared in 7 games in relief, allowing just 1 hit and no runs in 9 IP.

        Donovan was a member of 3 Detroit pennant winners.(1907-1909) He went 1-4, 2.88 in 50 IP in the World Series.

         He was a 2x 25 game winner, 1 each with the Superbas and the Tigers. Bill James rates his 25-4 mark with the 1907 Tigers as the luckiest pitching season on record.
