Both starters struggled, but Queen City still managed to hold a 6-4 lead after 6 innings. The Storm went up 7-6 when Angel Alfonso hit a 3-run HR. Queen City went up 8-7 in the bottom of the 8th on singles by Porter Washington and Jack Scott. The Storm went back up on an rbi single by Footsie Blair, a sac fly, and an rbi ground out and a sac fly. Withe tieing run on base in the last of the 9th, George McAllister flew out to end the game.

Neither starter made it out of the 5th inning in this high scoring game. With the Storm up 8-6, Queen City Relievers would toss 4 innings of shut out ball the rest of the way. Queen City tied the score 8-8 in the 6th, and would win it on a 2-run PH single by George Sisler in the 7th.

The Storm trailed 4-3, facing elimination in the bottom of the 9th, when Pop Lloyd led off the inning and reached 1st base on a throwing error by Travis Jackson at short. Taylor Douthit singled and both runners moved up after a sac bunt. Newt Allen was intentionally walked to load the bases. Dick Porter hit a sac fly to tie the game at 4, and send it into extra innings. In the 12th with Dazzy Vance pitching his 2nd inning of relief for the Storm, Mickey Cochrane led off the inning with a single. After a sac bunt, Sam Rice singled in Cochrane. Jimmy Dykes followed that with a 2-run HR into the left field stands. In the bottom of the 12th the 1st 2 Storm batters were retired easily by Fred Heimach. Down to their last, the Storm rallied. Jelly Gardner singled, and Pop Lloyd doubled him to 3rd. Taylor Douthit walked to load the bases, and Tom Young split the outfielders for a 3-run triple to tie the score. Jack Scott came in to pitch, and on an 0-1 pitch he unleashed a wild pitch to allow Young to score the game winning run.

Trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the 7th, the Storm rallied once again. Pop Lloyd walked to start the inning. After a ground out, Tom Young singled in Lloyd. Travis Jackson committed an error, booting an easy grounder to short. Dick Porter grounded back to Grimes, and Grimes fumbled the ball away for an error, to load the bases. Angel Alfonso was hit by a pitch, driving in Young. Walter Cannady singled to drive in Newt Allen, and Dick Porter. A Logan Hensley single scored Alfonso, giving the Storm a 7-4 lead, a lead they would not relinquish, sending the Storm to their 2nd straight SCL World Series.
NLCS MVP Tom Young .350-1-6 His clutch hits in Game 6 and 7 won it for the Storm.
