GAME #5
Watty Clark vs Satchel Paige
Facing elimination the Pines uncharacteristically fell behind 2-0 when Harry Heilmann hit a 2-out 2-run HR in the 3rd. Muddy Ruel tied it for the Pines in the 4th with a 2-out 2-run single. (a lot of 2 out hits in the is series) In the 8th Babe Ruth opened the inning with a double. A throwing error at short, and a rbi single by Heavy Johnson put the Pines up 4-2. The Storm strung together 3 straight singles in the bottom of the 8th to move to within 4-3. With runners on the corners and 2-outs, Del Bissonette grounded out to end the rally and the game for the Storm.
