The 1927 SCL All-Star game was hosted by the Gashouse Gorillas at Yankee Stadium.
Starting for the NL was Pete Alexander (Crimson Tide) and for the AL was Bump Hadley (Racers). Both Starters pitched 2 scoreless innings.
In the 3rd with Dean Nelson (Skeeters) on the hill for the AL, pinch hitter Mule Suttles (Dreamers) led off with a single, Oscar Charleston (Crimson Tide) singled him to 3rd, Harry Heilmann (Storm) doubled in Suttles, and a Dick Lundy (Robins) sac fly finished the scoring. 2-0 NL
With 2-outs in the 3rd, Babe Ruth(Pines) hit a solo HR off of Dazzy Vance(Storm) 2-1 NL.
In the 4th Charlie Gehringer (Dreamers)walked to lead off the inning, and came around to score on a walk, a passed ball, and Mule Suttles’ sac fly. 3-1 NL
