The 10th SCL All-Star Game was played in front of a packed Fenway Park, home of the American League Georgia Pines.
Babe Adams(Skeeters) started for the AL, while Walter Johnson(Warbirds) took the mound for the NL.
A 1 out single by Bill Handy(Crimson Tide) in the 2nd drove in Bobby Veach(Warbirds) with the 1st run of the game. It didn’t get any better than that for the AL. The AL put together 3 singles and a walk in their half of the 2nd and failed to score. Oscar Charleston(Crimson Tide) hit a solo HR to lead off the 4th for the NL. Bobby Veach’s 2 out triple in the 5th drove in a run, and Charleston drove him home with a single, giving the NL a 4-0 lead. Meanwhile the AL played small ball, managing just 7 singles and 4 walks against 6 NL pitchers. The trio of Hill, Ruth and Cravath went a combined 1-9 with a single and 2 walks.
Oscar Charleston was an easy MVP choice, as the NL easily handled the AL by a 6-0 score. The NL has won 6 of the 10 SCL All-Star Games.
